Finding a truck was one of my top priorities this week. Rental cars are expensive and we are just throwing away money by renting a car somewhere we are going to move.
I found out about this truck before I even flew down to Puerto Rico. It was a “friend of a friend” type deal. I test drove it in the pouring rain and couldn’t get the AC to work…but aside from that and a few jammed up power windows the truck runs well.

Now we will need to tackle registration.
Dope ride, these things will run forever. The do not make them this solid anymore. Good choice.
Ummmm….Windows that don’t roll down, no AC and 100+ degree weather? Hmmm…You forgot to mention the no AC part, babe.
ok, so it sounds like i need to clarify. The windows work great on the way down. They just need help going back up…which is fine if there is someone in the passenger seat. If you are driving alone, you’ll have to climb over there at a traffic signal or pull over if you want to put the window up.
Once we get a little time, I’ll pull off the door panels and lube up the tracks (they sound dirty) and see if that helps. If not, we can always get some new motors for them or we can just continue with the hybrid (man power & electric) power windows.
We can also pop the back off of it and make it into a convertible, but first we’ll need to replace the carpet with rubber and put in a waterproof backseat.
