After making 2 runs to aguadilla (I forgot the bank check the first time)we paid for our new poles and got our paperwork from the elec companies payment center. Now I have to take our paperwork to the other office on Friday to get the ball rolling. Once we get the poles and lines(anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months) and our letter stating it is done I then have to go back and apply for a meter box. This will allow them to charge me for electricity through the lines and poles I just paid them to put in.
It just all seems a bit backwards to me.

You forgot to mention how damn expensive it is as well. I think it’s important to mention that if you need power poles run to your property, you need to pay the city AT LEAST $2000 a pole (and we needed two) in Puerto Rico. I can think of thousands of things I would rather spend $4k on, rather then two concrete poles, but it is all going to be worth it when we actually have power and air conditioning. It’s just not something that you even have to think about living in San Diego (or most places that I know of in the United States). I feel like a freakin’ pioneer! Just kidding about that last part…haha…I’m tired…:D
