UPS Can Find Our House

Stefan and I just got back from a mega shopping expedition and there was a delivery attempt notice from UPS stuck on our front door. That may not sound like a big deal, but our physical address (Carr. 414 Km 0.5, Sector Vargas, Rincon PR 00677) is also the exact same address for EVERYONE in our neighborhood. So essentually, the UPS guy has to roll into the neighborhood and just ask around for Summer Hogan or Stefan Rest. That’s so awesome…haha.

Ok…let me make this more clear…the Puerto Rico Address thing:
There are about 15 houses in our little neighborhood, Sector Vargas, and none of them have house numbers. If you walk up the hill, down 4 houses and ask the owner of the house what their address is…they’ll tell you the same address we put on all of our UPS Deliveries. The only thing that changes is the recipients name.
Summer and I talked about putting some sort of sign at the end of our street so both our friends/family and the package delivery companies (UPS, FedEx, DHL, Island Wide) can find the house without knocking on doors asking “where do the gringos live?”.

Yeah, but our neighbors like to be in the know and the UPS guys knocking on their door is exciting! I love Puerto Rico

Stefan, I ran into your mom at Mack & Manco’s last week where she told me about this site. I have really enjoyed reading your blog. Glad to see everything is going well.
