Just 3 days after Stefan planted the grass seed, the grass “peach fuzz” was visible. These pictures were taken less then a week after the seed was planted:

Looks like I’m going to need to save up to get Stefan a riding lawn mower for Christmas…Go, grass, go!

I don’t know you personally but I have been following your blogs starting when I saw it on Digg after you were tasered. I really like what you guys are doing good luck with everything!
P.S. Whoever caused you all of those issues at Vicious Enterprises, you need to buy out or fire or just get rid of that person because you seemed to be very good at that job! No one deserves a free pass.
Thanks, Todd! I havn’t quite figured out what I’m going to do business wise, but luckly I don’t have any partners, so whatever I decide will be (fairly) easy to execute. I have three people begging me for the job in San Diego, but I’m taking a few more days off before I make any decisions.
I have a house in Puerto Rico (live in the states). The property seems to grow to a jungle fast.
I want to plant grass on the front lawn.
What type of grass seeds work best? Did you experiment with different type seeds?
Does your grass burn easily? I mean does it dry out fast and need water right away?
How often does it need to be cut?
Thank you in advance for your insights. I plan a trip down there in a few weeks and I am trying to do as much homework as possible before I leave.
Thanks again,
Carlos
Carlos:
The seed we ended up going with is Bermuda seed. It is a bit pricey ($28 a bag which only covers a couple hundred square feet) but it came in very healthy and strong. It is drought resistant and is used to hot climates. It grew in very quickly after we put down topsoil. We water it daily and it requires cutting weekly after its initial two or three weeks.
Thank you for your help and good luck to you!
