Merry Christmas to you guys as well! If you get the chance, you should check out the lights in Old San Juan.
Remember, the holiday season here lasts until Jan 7
Jan 6 is Three Kings Day (think of it as Christmas Lite… you get/give presents, but you don’t have to send a single one off the island
) and Jan 7 is get over your hangover day so you can return to life on the 8th. Now, back to my holiday drinking.
ha…I didn’t see the pirate guzzling down the Presidente at first! lol
Wishing you both a happy holiday season…do you have some new photos of the landscaping? I am curious as to what palms you went with and how they are growing??
We’ve had a bad dry spell in FL and have lost most of ours…grr…perhaps you’ve had better luck?? Either way, hoping you both are enjoying a warm, tropical holiday season!
Hey Soe…I’ll take some pictures of the palms. The ornamental palms (Queen, Fox Tail, Christmas Tree, Eureka) aren’t growing quickly by any stretch of the imagination, but they seem quite healthy and content right where they are.
The noticeable growth is with the coconut palms. I estimate that we have probably planted about 50 coconut palms on the property so far (29 or 30 in the front yard) and most of those have sprouted up new growth, grown thicker and really attached themselves to the ground.
BUT…we haven’t had the dry spell you are having in Florida. It is still raining here almost every day for at least an hour or two.
