Connor and Dianne are coming to visit today, so Stefan and I threw the bed back into the loft and (finally) moved ourselves into the master bedroom. The guest bed was taken out of the loft when Jamie and Brian laid some of the flooring we had left over up there. Unfortunately, Stefan and I have been so busy we havn’t taken the time to put the loft back together and we’ve been sleeping on the floor instead. Well, today (Christmas), while everyone was doing all that sappy family stuff (just kidding ;)…) I cleaned the entire upstairs and put the loft back together again. Exciting, eh?
Here is a picture of the loft so you can see the new flooring. Wooo!

Summer
Your loft looks very nice and comfortable, I hope your visitors enjoy it. I do have a problem sleeping so close to the floor because in the Island, we have many “creatures”, and you can have screens, but they just appear. I am very paranoid about spider. When Frank and I got to our house on Pineapple Hill, we found a dead tarantula spider in the laundry room! It was a baby one, but it was weird.
Have a great NY.
Sorry, but your website about Jacquie S. seems pretty self-indulgent after seeing this website…looks like spoiled brats trying to make the world think they have a heart, instead they are really trying to find help, money and handouts for their house in Puerto Rico…must suck living there in such a beautiful house…
I really cannot believe how much you’ve gotten done this year!
The house really looks fabulous. Congrats! Enjoy your New Year!
Rosa - Normally, I would worry about having a bed on the floor, but in the loft not many creatures will climb up that high (plus, I vacuum any spider webs I see up there.). I much prefer sleeping up there, actually.
V. Allan - Ah. I see. You read a blog post I made almost two years ago about Jacqueline Saburido. Apparently you think that because I tried to spread the word about drinking and driving, I should quit my job (that I work very hard at), drop out of society and live in a tent, sobbing tears of remorse for the rest of my life for Jacqueline. Right? I’m sure that is what your plan is…Did you read this? Specifically this part:
“Stefan and I don’t desperately need donations and if push comes to shove, we can get a loan, but I just thought that this would be a fun way to get our family, friends and blog readers directly involved in the construction of our house :). (If you’re looking for a charity, here are a few good ones: Surfrider, ASPCA, Canine Companions and Charity Navigator)”
Please, do let us what YOU plan to do for Jaqueline and we’ll talk ;).
Soe - Thanks! I can’t believe it either! Stefan has done an amazing job on the house. Without him, no of this wouold have gotten done, nor not nearly as quickly.
