Lorenz has a chicken in a bag, in his trunk. It’s his new pet.
Stefan and I ran into Carrie (Lorenz’s girlfriend) at the convenience store today and she told us that Lorenz was in Ponce and apparently he decided to buy a chicken as a pet.
I think Lorenz may be drinking Jameson.

Cluck cluck.
Our neighbors have pet Peacocks.
and I forgot to mention… another only in Puerto Rico thing… (didn’t mean to sound snide in the past one :D)
Speaking of chicken; the surf was large and in charge this morning.
While I am in the yard gardening (pulling vines, raking, and moving debris around) I have to admit I have burst out with a few urrrr urr urr ur urrrrrs. I’ve watched them inspect and kick up the last area I worked in, I see them watching me and sometimes believe I know what they are saying - (what ya do in! no thing mu uch how’s the wea ther…. rain’s a com in…) I can see a rooster as a pet (she says with slight embarassment). Definately (don’t tell Jeff).
Robert - When I was growing up in California, our neighbors had peacocks as well. I remember them being quite loud. We lived in the country, go figure! Come to think of it…I would love to have peacocks on the property! I’ve always kinda imagined myself as Pippy Longstockings anyhow. The more animals, the merrier!
Katrina - Chickens are cool. I would like to have a few someday, I just thought it was hilarious that my friend brought a chicken home as a pet. I had chickens as a kid and I don’t remember then being particularly friendly…As a matter of fact, I remember the little roosters chasing me and trying to skewer my little child body with their evil talons, actually. Roosters can be mean little bastards. Get a chicken/hen ;).
… actually not only in Puerto Rico. Chickens as pets are no longer uncommon in UK too. When we bought our first chicken pen (about 3 years back) the company that delivered it was bringing another to someone else who lived the other end of our street. And this is only a few miles from the centre of London, so I’d guess even more popular in the suburbs & country areas.
