Must…Focus…Master…Bedroom
We have so many projects going on in this house, that it seems like nothing ever gets done. It’s way too easy to get side tracked, which is proving to be very counter-productive. Stefan and I talked about this and we have decided to focus on one room at a time, in order to stay on track. So, with this in mind, these are the things that we will be working on in order to finish the master bedroom and bath:
Master Bedroom:
- Pick out and install ceiling fan.
- Pick out and install lighting.
- Find/buy/install french doors for the closet. (Done!)
- Install closet light fixture. Done!
- Lay hardwood flooring above closet (storage area).
- Purchase mahogany and finish window trim.
- Purchase bedroom furniture (Done!)
Master Bathroom (Shower/Wetroom):
- Find/install final trim.
- Purchase small storage cabinet. Done!
- Purchase/install light fixture.
- Purchase/install towel bar or hooks.
- Paint.
- Cut/install corner shelves for shower.
- Screw on the drain cover.
Master Bathroom (Jacuzzi Tub):
- Finish building vanities.
- Purchase/install sinks.
- Purchase/install mirrors.
- Purchase/install light fixtures.
- Install marble around tub and top of vanities.
- Install/hook up jacuzzi tub.
- Trim out the windows.
So. There you have it. This is our “To Do” list, so let’s see how long it takes to get the master bedroom/bathroom finished!

Hey guys, in case you haven’t yet been, there is a great lighting and ceiling fan store in Aguada called ‘El Palacio de las Lámparas’. The store is massive and has a really nice selection of stuff (ranging from very modern to classic). It is on Carr #2 KM. 137.4 between the 402 and the 417, next to Fidel’s Auto Glass–also a good spot to know!)

Miri – Thanks for the suggestion!! We are always looking for new home stores and I’m excited to check out El Palacio de las Lámparas. We will definately stop by to check it out (hopefully this week)! Thanks again!
Stefan – Ha. And that’s all I have to say about that…;)

No problem. We couldn’t live without the Mayaguez Home Depot but it definitely has it limits…Make sure to go to the downstairs section of the store: That is where most of the ceiling fans are. Its like Aladdin’s cave, that store…really nice people too (family owned).
