Summer and I have really hit a road block on this one. We finished all the brown marble in the master bedrooms wet room (toilet/shower) except for the trim. It looks great. Now, we were going to use the remaining brown marble around our master jacuzi and two sinks (on the left and right side of the tub)…but after laying out all of the tiles and looking at it, we decided that we didn’t like it.
So, here we are, trying to figure out what to do in there. A different color marble? A slab instead of tiles? Perhaps we should get Granite or something along those lines? Summer and I are both brainstorming, so I decided it would be a great idea to get input from all of you guys. How should we finish the sinks and jaccuzzi in the master bedroom? If you want to post pictures, just put the link in your comment and I will post the pictures.
Here are some pictures of the jacuzzi corner, sink area and of the rest of the bedroom. Put your thinking caps on!

Would a darker stone look better? I know nothing about that kind of thing, but maybe it would work?
I also wanted to say that in the third picture, Cheech looks SO cute! He’s a little furball with a cute little curvy tail!
Jashana:
The way the sun is shining in through the windows behind the jacuzzi, it looks like there is a spotlight right on Cheech. Good stuff…
Because you already have two colors of marble in yur shower area, I would not add a third. If you could find a slab that closely matches your lighter travertine, I would use if for the tub deck and counters. Plus, that would eliminate the grout cleaning issue. Your bedroom looks great!
Karen:
That is a great suggestion. Summer and I can take a piece of the scrap travertine to the marble/granite store we found in Isabella last week (while we were looking for doors) and see if they have anything that will work.
Haha…Cheech is always stealing the show.
Jashana - That’s not a bad suggestion at all. I almost think that we need to keep it on the darker side (which in that case, we should probably just use the brown marble that we already have). It’s so hard to make all these decisions!! If we do use the brown marble, I think we should repaint the bedroom since EVERYTHING is already brown (floor, ceiling, walls, furniture, shower tile). But, that just opens up another can of worms…ha
Karen - That is a good suggestion, for sure. The lighter travertine color would probably look pretty.
Well I think you should go along the lines of spa - tropical look.

Maybe consider taking the wood off of the front and doing a nice smooth stone. I also like the use of the shudder and all the plants. You may want to consider plantation shutters. I also like the textured stone on the walls here.
This is clean and simple too

I would consider doing some dark square baskets under your sinks with towels and necessities.
I would also paint the walls either a sage or putty
Add this Rock rug

or a teak wood grate see site above in bath accessories
And these

And the stone towel holders.
I also think you need one of those stone buddhas
in the corner
You also might consider separating the space a little with some carved or cut out wood panels on either side of the opening or a screen of some sort or even wispy curtains on either side to make it more romantic.
Hey Everyone: Check this out Jacuzzi Tub Set Up I found yesterday. The stone and the woodwork together look insane!
