You may have to build your case a little. Try explaining how the price of concrete has gone up so much that for you it will be prohibitive and you still have to deal with a potential safety hazard. My dad had a similar problem and in his case they said that because of his income (he is retired) they couldn't do it all for free. He ended just paying for the labor, but the asphalt was provided for free. I know that perhaps asphalt is not what you really would like for the driveway, but it may solve your problem in the meantime. Best of luck! Hamilton Stefan,
