Puerto Rico Internet – DSL
When I first moved down here, I rented an office to run my business out of while we were fixing up little things at the house, like: WALLS, ELECTRICITY, KITCHEN, BATHROOMS, WATER. The office I was renting already had cable Internet, so it was my first experience with service down here. Wow, it was really bad. It was slow (even though it was sold as ‘high speed’), went down all the time and had horrible customer service.
Well, for the first time since last year when we got the DSL lines installed, our Internet slowed down and went out completely. For the past two days we have been getting an “Authorization Error” from Puerto Rico Telephones DMAX DSL Internet service and have been unable to get online. It has been tough to get work done for our businesses, but we have been doing fun stuff together and around the house, so maybe it was a blessing in disguise. We are quite addicted to work.

All and all though, I need to recommend DMAX DSL over Cable Internet to anyone thinking of getting service down here. The customer service at PRT is bad, and even when you hit the right number (2) when prompted for English you get a spanish speaking operator that puts you back on hold for 20 minutes….but my experience in the past year is that you won’t need to deal with their customer service.

In SJ I use onelink cable (did the digi cable + internet package), and so far so good. The only outages have not been the Cable Co’s fault, but rather the city digging and cutting cables.

Just wondering, what site are you using to generate that rating graphic?

Hey R
The WordPress Plugin that we are using to generate the ‘popularity’ of each post is called ‘Popularity Contest’ and can be found HERE. The voting poll with the graphic is a WordPress Plugin called ‘Democracy’ and can be found HERE.
