Hay Una Sandia!
Stefan and I sort of gave up on the watermelon plants that Eddie planted for us 5 months ago. They sprouted and shriveled enough times that we gave up watering them and let them do their own thing (like get overgrown with weeds…). Lo and behold, a watermelon (sandia) has appeared!

I wonder if it’s because we have more bees pollinating our plants now? Or do watermelons take a while to establish themselves?

Sandia? Huh. First time I’ve ever heard that word. I’ve always known it simply as “melón”. Congrats on your melon, though. ^^

EXACTLY THE RIGHT THING YOU DID WATER THEM IN THE BEGINING, WHEN THE PLANT SPROUTS OUT THEY DON’T NEED MUCH WATERING, THEY LOVE TO GO WILD AND YOU WILL SEE LOTS OF WATERMELONS, WHEN YOU GO TO WALMART TRY TO GET THE SEEDS CALLED SUGAR BABYS THEY ARE THE BEST. YES AND THE WORD SANDIAS IS WHAT OUR GRAND FATHERS CALLED THEM BEFORE THE NEW GENERATION CALLED THEM MELON DE AGUA OR WATERMELON.
