It has been 24 hours since we have had electricity. We powered up and got online over at Bon Accord in Puntas. No power there either, buy they had a generator, cable tv and cold beer.
After about two hours of work on our generator…it is running and powering our fridge and one lamp. I think I will try plugging in the modem and wireless router to see if we can get online (iPhone post)
We still don’t have power, but I’m sneaking internet from whichever neighbor has a linksys wireless router :). The signal is weak (it goes out after 5 minutes or so and I have to try and reconnect), but it is better then nothing!
We’re in the same boat over here in SJ. Generator kicked in automatically and we picked up 50 gallons of diesel for the generator just in case.
I think we are lucky here in San German. Power was out from 2 in the morning until 8am or so yesterday (we kind of had “half” power (enough to do dim lights)). Today the water went out for several hours while I was out in the yard getting dirty. It came back on and then disappeared again around 8 tonight. We don’t have a generator. I can see the value of boxed milk, canned stuff, dry food and jugs of water! katrina
