Rincon is Dry Dry Dry
Author: Stefan | Filed under: Weather
We could really use a couple days of rain. Rincon has been without a good rain shower in over a month and the land is showing it.
This morning I had to drive out to Home Depot to grab a couple tubes of Liquid Nails and I couldn’t help but notice how dry all of the hillsides are. It looks like southern California! For the most part, all of the grass is dead/yellow and most of the trees have lost their leaves. Even the bamboo on the side of the 115 is yellow and struggling for life.
I know it is just the cycle for down here. Dry all winter and wet all summer, but I am ready for rainy season to begin. We sure do have a lot of plants to water these days!

It’s dry down here as well – good for house and roof painting, but this morning I dragged around a hundred feet of hose to try to save one mini tree and keep the rest ok. Leaves and pods are dropping everywhere. Good thing is we haven’t had to do much mowing or weed whacking… I’m sure it is right around the corner though. katrina

I like PR in the dry season, otherwise, it will be too hot and humid.

It seems that if I post about rain, it rains. This is not the first time this has happened to me. It really has been nice, not having to cut grass and weed eat a few days a week…but it’s coming. It’s right around the corner…sigh…:-)
