What part of Cali did you move to? Hawaii wasn't really on our radar when deciding where to move (price has a lot to do with that)...It was between Costa Rica and Puerto Rico and at the time you could not get a mortgage in CR and we didn't exactly have $400K cash. Costa Rica was going through a real estate boom at the time and it really was not very affordable. So when the perfect piece of property, for the perfect price, in a town known for perfect waves (Rincon), popped up, we jumped at the chance and here we are. Mel – That is funny :) !
